Bruce D. McDowell, FAICP

Bruce D. McDowell's 42-year career evolved from the local and regional practice of planning into a research-oriented career of distinction. McDowell is one of the nation's best recognized and most highly regarded researchers and innovators on the subjects of metropolitan planning organizations, regional councils, intergovernmental relations, and the use of federal-aid programs to strengthen state, local, and regional planning. He is currently the president of the consulting firm Intergovernmental Management Associates. Inducted 2002.
