William Gould, FAICP

William Gould views cities as an art form that overlaps and interacts with architecture, urban design, and urban planning. Throughout his 50-plus year professional planning practice, Bill has provided innovative planning services. As founder of Cleveland's Historic Warehouse District, he created the city's first new downtown neighborhood in modern times. He spearheaded the artist housing ‘live-work’ movement through the ‘ArtSpace Cleveland’ organization that he founded and continues to lead. He selected the site for Blossom Music Center, summer home of the Cleveland Orchestra, and he has volunteered his expertise on Urban Design Assistance Teams to respond to urban challenges.
