Brian W. Shupe, FAICP
Brian Shupe has been a leader in shaping and elevating community planning in Vermont for nearly 30 years. At the municipal level, he oversaw ambitious and innovative planning programs, creating civic infrastructure and model regulatory frameworks that continue to manage change and maintain community character of rural and small towns across the state. He has also been a key architect of significant state legislation, from updating the zoning enabling statutes to a landmark water quality bill. Shupe continues to shape Vermont’s major planning policies and serves the profession through his speaking engagements, peer trainings, and publications. Inducted 2016.
