Marya Morris has a tremendous 25-plus year career in planning research, education, and private practice. She is the author of eight PAS Reports and many studies and articles for planners. Marya has provided training to thousands of practicing planners on diverse topics including smart growth, state enabling legislation, signs, urban design, and form based codes. Her work has moved progressive planning ideas forward into the national mainstream and she’s credited with launching collaborations with the public health field to use community design to promote public health. Marya has mentored dozens of planners and serves as a planning commissioner in Glencoe, Illinois. Inducted 2016.
