Robert G. Shibley, FAICP
Dean Robert G. Shibley has for more than 40 years served the public as an advocate for excellence and inclusiveness in urban planning and design through teaching, critical practice, publications, and community leadership. A professor and administrator of the University at Buffalo and its School of Architecture and Planning since 1982, Shibley has built a comprehensive body of plans for Buffalo rooted in the voice of thousands and knowledge based placemaking practices. The work underpins a Buffalo renaissance centered on its legacy urban form, cherished waterfront, and vibrant neighborhoods, evolving today with his leadership of regional sustainable and economic development planning. Inducted 2016.
