On November 3, 2008, the City of Sheridan, Wyoming, celebrated the designation of Downtown Sheridan as one of the 10 Great Neighborhoods for 2008. In a standing-room-only ceremony in the historic city hall, APA Region V Director Kelli A. Sertich, AICP, and Director-at-large Debra A. March presented the Great Places certificate to Mayor Dave Kinskey and Gov. Dave Freudenthal. APA commended the area for its commitment to historic preservation and unique sense of place.
