Meet Gisla Augustin — a planner at the City of Pompano Beach, Florida, and owner of her company, GiGi the Planner.
Through GiGi the Planner, she spreads awareness to youth about the planning field and advocates to increase the number of Black planners. In honor of Black History Month, APA celebrates Augustin's work to expand diversity within planning and showcases how she overcame challenges as a young planner.

In order to move conversation into action, APA is joining 14 other national membership organizations, the Association Forum, and McKinley Advisors in a research study to understand motivations, perceptions, challenges, and needs among members and how APA can provide value to you.
By participating in this survey, your unique insights will help APA and the association community at large to move toward actionable solutions to achieve a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
