Inspiring keynote addresses

Two energizing keynote addresses bookend the conference. Start the conference off with Valerie Jarrett, the longest serving Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama, former Chairperson of the Chicago Transit Board, and current Senior Advisor to the Obama Foundation.

Then after four great days with your fellow planning fanatics, close the conference with a panel composed of youth activists — Jonas Corona, Mari Copeny, and Alexandria Villaseñor — who focus their energy on bringing attention to issues such as homelessness, water quality, and climate change.

Houston is famous for not having zoning, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have planning. Did you read Planning's January special edition on Houston? Find out more about this diverse and unique city before heading to NPC20.

SURVEY
Your insights are needed: Advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion

APA is committed to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion within our membership. In order to move conversation into action, APA is joining 14 other national membership organizations, the Association Forum, and McKinley Advisors in a research study to understand motivations, perceptions, challenges, and needs among members and how APA can provide value to you.

By participating in this survey, your unique insights will help APA and the association community at large to move toward actionable solutions to achieve a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion. APA recognizes that this is an evolutionary process that will require ongoing renewal of our commitment, and your participation in this effort is appreciated. Don't miss out – please respond by March 2.
