Urban flooding and climate change impacts are not distributed equally. Communities that have historically been underserved show disproportionate effects in their homes and neighborhoods. In this latest Voices of Equity in Planning video, Marcella Bondie Keenan, AICP, discusses the intersection of sustainability, placemaking, and equity. "Factors like these are at the heart of where planners need to be working." |

"Planning is built on a foundation of engagement, consensus, and equity."
– Kurt Christiansen, FAICP, APA Nominating Committee Chair
APA seeks leadership to be demonstrative of the communities we serve — we are seeking diversity in demographics, perspectives, geography, and experience among a new group of leaders for the organization. We've improved the nomination process, eliminating barriers and providing clear job summaries and criteria.
