Get inspired on how you can create welcoming places that are equitable and inclusive through this Leading Transformative Change series. Start with the Equitable Change on-demand course and then join Mitchell J. Silver, FAICP, AICP Commission president, on March 17 as he moderates a series of interviews with the following change leaders: Tamika Butler on how to challenge the status quo; Jay Pitter, MES, on engaging grieving communities to help them heal from past injustices; and Justin Garrett Moore, AICP, on using public design to help solve major challenges.

Now is the time for the profession to reflect on unjust practices to evolve the infusion of equity, diversity, and inclusion into all aspects of planning. (Member $50/Nonmember $100; Free for Passport subscribers)

Integrating gender mainstreaming

Men and women have differing needs when it comes to the built environment, and when women are not well supported, communities are not well supported. Learn about gender mainstreaming, a governing and policy-making strategy to help address the persistent imbalance in women's access to and control of resources, and how to better integrate it into your planning work with this PAS Memo.
