The Town of Truckee Planning Division is seeking a full-time Administrative Technician to manage all administrative duties for the division such as providing general information to the public, maintaining files, performing accounting tasks including processing invoices and managing contracts, preparing reports and deposits, performing data entry and maintaining records, permit tracking software maintenance, preparing agendas and taking meeting minutes, and managing website and social media content.
The ideal candidate is positive, creative, detail-oriented and able to perform a wide variety of tasks in a fast-paced team setting in coordination with and under the direction of multiple planners and the Community Development Director. Knowledge of Adobe In-Design, Microsoft Word and Excel, social media and marketing, and accounting are highly desirable.
This position requires two years of responsible administrative support or technical experience or training equivalent to as Associate's degree from an accredited college with coursework in public administration, business administration, accounting, planning or related field.
