The City of Manitowoc, Wisconsin is recruiting for the position of Associate Planner – Business and Housing Development. This is a full-time opportunity to join a dynamic organization in a beautiful lakeshore community.

The Associate Planner works in a team environment with regular opportunities to collaborate with other City departments and local organizations. Under the direction of the Community Development Director, the position performs technical and skilled planning and community development work with an emphasis on the downtown environment, business relationships, and neighborhood quality. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative and possess strong organizational and communication skills. A degree in urban planning, geography, economics, or a related field from an accredited four-year college is required. A minimum of one to two years of work experience in planning, economic development, or community development is required; three to five years are preferred.

A Master's Degree in urban planning or a related field could qualify candidates with less than the minimum or preferred experience.
