The Assistant Director oversees the management, administration, and coordination of the Hazard Mitigation (HM) Section, leading strategic initiatives that support state and local mitigation efforts to reduce risks from wildfires, floods, earthquakes, and the growing impacts of climate change. This role provides leadership for large-scale programs, partnerships, and funding initiatives that strengthen California's long-term disaster resilience.
