Solar Energy

The city's land use code defines solar access (§16-1-80). If developers intend to use solar design in developments, they must provide explanations of how solar design is incorporated into the layout of a development plan (§16-3-50.6.xii). Subdivision review standards encourage solar single-family lot orientation and protection of adjacent homes' solar access (§16-6-120.10.vi).
