Story County Resident Input Wanted

NEVADA, IOWA — Are you a resident of Story County? If so, your input about the future of the county is requested.
A four-member volunteer team of planners will be in Story County, Iowa, from October 23–October 27, working with local planners, residents, and business leaders of Story County to help residents envision a future for the county that will best serve residents' needs while balancing its agricultural heritage. Resident input is requested at a town hall public meeting on Monday, October 24 at 5:15 p.m.
The planning team is part of the American Planning Association's Community Planning Assistance Program that helps communities with limited planning resources and brings a fresh perspective to local communities. Through the program, teams of professional planners are matched with communities requesting assistance on a variety of planning topics.

WHO: Residents and business leaders of Story County.
Over the course of the week, the planning team will tour the county and conduct interviews with a variety of leaders and residents. The team's preliminary assessment will be presented on Wednesday, October 26 from 5:30–7 p.m., in the City of Ames Council Chambers. The final report of the team's assessment will be available in November.
