Participant Questions and Answers
Three questions were asked of all participants, who received index cards upon arrival. They were asked to respond on those cards, compiled here, and return them before leaving the workshop. The intent was to ascertain their key concerns and aspirations concerning the workshops in order to help the APA faculty learn more about their audience.
Small Group Breakout Notes
At the full-day workshop in Newark, participants were asked to choose one of five breakout sessions on specific topics, each facilitated by one or more members of the faculty. In this workshop, the breakout topics were:
- State and local requirements
- FEMA and the National Disaster Recovery Framework (notes missing)
- Mitigation planning and climate adaptation
- Land use and permitting issues
- Role of comprehensive planning
