Bike through Atlanta’s downtown and in-town neighborhoods. On the 13-mile round trip, beginning at the GWCC you will travel through Castleberry Hill, Five Points, Sweet Auburn, Grant Park, Cabbagetown, Inman Park, Poncey-Highland, Old 4th Ward, and Midtown before returning downtown. Examine the city’s use of sharrows, bicycle lanes, two-way cycle tracks, shared-use paths, bicycle boxes, two-stage turn boxes, covered bicycle parking and bicycle traffic signals. And as a bonus, take a peek at several sites where bicycle improvements are proposed, but not yet constructed. Discover how quick, low-cost improvements can help cities gear up for bicycle traffic. Bicycles and helmets provided. Transportation: Bicycle.
