MORE SESSION DETAILS
In October 2017 the most destructive wildfires in California's history struck the state's wine country. Nearly 250,000 acres burned, more than 6,000 homes were destroyed, and more than 40 people lost their lives.
This mobile workshop heads to Sonoma County, the hardest hit area with 5,200 homes destroyed and 23 fatalities. See the scope of the fires’ destruction in the city of Santa Rosa, where a neighborhood of 1,300 homes was leveled. Learn about the community’s recovery and resiliency efforts, including programs to expedite the rebuilding process and stimulate broader economic and housing development.
