San Francisco’s historic Civic Center is in the middle of an extensive community planning effort that is generating exciting ideas for improvements to public spaces. On this walking tour, see what’s new in Civic Center and hear from the planners, designers, and community partners working to improve its public realm. Get a special guided tour up 250 steps of stairs to the top of the iconic dome of City Hall. Usually closed to the public, the top of the dome affords spectacular 360-degree views from the heart of San Francisco.
