MORE SESSION DETAILS

Denver is facing opportunities and challenges of significant growth – including affordability, mobility, and resiliency. Whether a growing, static, or slow-growth region, big cities can create barriers to innovation. As a result, the biggest challenges are unsolved. But with collaboration, creativity, kindness, and humor, we are unstoppable. This session will tell Denver’s story of a small group of ambitious city builders fearlessly using four concurrent citywide planning projects to innovate. Learn about an internal coordination structure to align land use, transportation, and parks and recreation policies across departments; a strategy to leverage staff and budget for maximum efficiency; and a communications-and-engagement strategy to achieve unprecedented community involvement. Some 18 months into the launch of Denveright, there is much to share about this project.
