Creative Placemaking

This report focuses on the intersection between public safety and creative placemaking. It classifies projects related to creative placemaking and public safety into five categories with varying purposes: projects that promote empathy and understanding, projects that influence law and policy, projects that lead to career opportunities, projects that support well-being, and projects that advance the quality of place. Each category is associated with public safety goals, such as education, civic engagement, and mental health. It recommends increased collaboration between practitioners and researchers to develop a better understanding of how creative placemaking and public safety can influence one another.
