Creative Placemaking

This blog post discusses the importance of supportive evaluative systems in creative placemaking. It proposes that rather than implementing indicators to measure the success of a project, it may be more helpful to provide hands-on guidance. It speculates that indicator will not be successful because of definitional challenges and a lack of data sources. Additionally, it suggests that causal models of creative placemaking would be more appropriate in measuring project impacts and provides further alternatives to using indicators, such as a three-stage evaluation process, supporting cooperative learning, and providing technical assistance.
