Social Equity

This article offers perspectives on smart growth and equitable development, opening a discussion on how to use these practices to improve conditions for all Americans. It defines various principles of equitable development and provides case studies from Chicago, Oakland, and Indianapolis. It was initially prepared as a paper for the Ideal City Conference in 2008.
