The Board of Trustees has authorized the Village to move forward to update our LWRP, using the draft Local Waterfront Revitalization Plan (LWRP) document that was sent up to the Department of State in 2015 and 2016.

This document was tabled when the Village moved forward to update the Village’s Comprehensive Plan in 2017. The Comprehensive Plan was completed and adopted in November, 2018. 

The Village previously updated the entire Comprehensive Plan document in 2007, with a specific update for a zoning district called the Historic Commons district in 2014. Later the Village received a grant from the State of New York to perform an update to the Village-wide Comprehensive Plan, which was updated in 2018.

Since the Comprehensive Plan was adopted in 2018, the Village has received a grant in the amount of $75,000 from the New York State Department of State to fund the completion and an update of the LWRP document, which must now include a Harbor Management Plan.  The Village will be funding the balance of remaining costs associated with the work, as a match to the grant.
