Farmland Protection

This report by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Authority focuses on the question of whether the township should adopt agricultural zoning within its agricultural zones as a means of protecting the agricultural industry and the existing preserved farms of the township.  The main issues are whether the Township should downzone in these districts and what legal concerns might arise as a consequence of such a change. The report provides recommendations on further actions the township can take to strengthen its position, including developing agricultural economic and farmland preservation plans.
