This brief staff report recommends amending the county’s unified development ordinance to create provisions for an agricultural use classification within Voluntary Agricultural Districts. The classification was added to the code along with development standards and use conditions; provisions such as retail facility size limitations provide a safeguard against the use of agricultural tourism as a back-door route to commercial zoning in these districts.
