About Population Reference Bureau, Inc.

For nearly a century, people around the world have trusted Population Reference Bureau (PRB) to provide the population data and information they need to advance solutions to critical issues and improve people’s well-being.

States, regions, and localities turn to PRB when they need high-quality estimates to plan for housing and transportation that meets their changing populations’ needs. Our partners rely on us to help them navigate communication with diverse stakeholders and develop messaging that effectively conveys the findings of technical material in a way that’s understandable and actionable.

From coordinating conferences to creating data tutorials, our work in the United States has reached thousands of data users to support efforts ranging from city planning to health care policy research. We are a long-term partner to the U.S. Census Bureau, helping to inform policymakers, media, and the public about the importance of data from the decennial census and American Community Survey. Our original data analyses allow state and local organizations to better target their outreach efforts to create positive change.

Our work is based on three fundamental beliefs: facts matter; good data are critical to smart decisions and policies; and the most powerful solutions emerge from collective efforts. Partner with us.
