2020 Quality of Life Survey

The Maui County Planning Department is inviting qualified consultants, multi-disciplinary firms or teams to submit a written proposal in response to this Request for Proposals (RFP) to provide professional services for the purposes of creating, coordinating and conducting a 2020 Maui County Quality of Life (QOL) Survey to gather citizen feedback and measure satisfaction with county services, QOL and other information to help the County better understand the community's concerns and needs, and assist in evaluating the County's progress toward achieving the goals, policies and objectives of the General Plan. Consultants shall have recent experience and expertise in formulating, executing and reporting on a QOL survey or similar type survey, and familiarity with the Maui County General Plan documents, with emphasis on the Maui Island Plan, Lanai Community Plan and the Molokai Island Community Plan.

The selected consultant will develop an appropriate survey instrument and methodology to gauge citizen opinions about current County programs and activities and their involvement in various County-related activities related to development, capital expenditures and "quality of life" principles. The consultant will also be responsible for carrying out the survey by tabulating its results and preparing a final report.
