PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that SEALED PROPOSALS must be received by the Town of Islip Office of Purchasing, at its office located at 401 Main Street, Room 227, Islip, New York, 11751 (rear entrance, 2nd floor, by the stairs), no later than 11:00 A.M. (prevailing time) on July 12, 2023, following which time they will be publicly opened, but not read, for: CONSULTING SERVICES FOR PREPARATION OF THE TOWN OF ISLIP "TOI-360" COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE

A pre-proposal meeting will be held on June 15, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. in the Town Board Room, 655 Main Street, Islip, New York 11751. The Town will brief all prospective respondents on the goal of the RFP. Attendance at the pre-proposal meeting is expected, but not mandatory, for all persons who intend to submit a proposal.

A description of the project is contained in the individual request for proposal ("RFP") packets, which may be obtained at the Town of Islip Purchasing Department during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday). Proposals may not be faxed or e-mailed. For information, please call (631) 224-5515. Notice to Proposers and this RFP may be found at the Town of Islip's website at https://bids.islipny.gov/.

One (1) original and four (4) copies of both the technical proposals and cost proposals must be submitted. The technical proposals and cost proposals shall be submitted in SEPARATE SEALED ENVELOPES. No responsibility shall attach to any person or persons for premature opening of proposals not properly labeled or sealed. No proposal shall be withdrawn or price increased for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days after being publicly opened. In the event proposals are rejected, or no proposals are received, the Department of Purchasing is fully authorized to re-advertise for proposals. The Town of Islip will not reimburse any individual or firm for any costs associated with the preparation of their proposal. Late proposals will not be accepted. The Town of Islip is not responsible for late or misdirected delivery of proposals.

THE TOWN OF ISLIP RESERVES THE RIGHT TO WAIVE ANY FORMALITY AND/OR INFORMALITY OR TO REJECT ANY OR ALL PROPOSALS WHEN IN THE OPINION OF THE TOWN BOARD, SUCH AN ACTION WILL BE IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE TOWN. IN THE EVENT THAT NO PROPOSALS ARE RECEIVED, THE DEPARTMENT OF PURCHASING IS AUTHORIZED TO RE-ADVERTISE.
