City of Fernley

North Fernley Area Plan

The City of Fernley is soliciting proposals from qualified planning consultants to create a new portion of the Comprehensive Master Plan known as the North Fernley Area Plan. This plan is anticipated to provide a guide for the future development of the area with specific focus on issues such as transportation/traffic, land use and zoning, development standards, flooding and drainage, infrastructure, community services, parks and open space, financing, and implementation. A more detailed scope of services is listed in the RFP. The consultant will work in close collaboration with the City's staff, elected officials, developers, and the community to develop a sustainable Area Plan reflecting a unified vision for the growth and development of north Fernley.

The City anticipates the following general timeline for its selection process. The City reserves the right to change this schedule.

• RFQ Advertised — The week of July 10, 2023
• Submittal Due Date — July 28, 2023 at 4:00PM (PST)
• Selection Evaluation — July 31 – August 4, 2023
• Interviews (if needed) — August 14 – 18, 2023
• Contract Approval at City Council — September 20, 2023
