The City of McAlester, Oklahoma, is seeking proposals from qualified planning and zoning consultants to lead a comprehensive update of its Land Development, Planning, Zoning, and Subdivision Code.
McAlester is a historic regional hub with a unique community character and a strong industrial foundation. To support current growth and honor its rich identity, the City is modernizing its regulatory framework to move away from generic, outdated standards. The project's goal is to adopt a user-friendly, context-sensitive code that aligns with modern best practices and the community's vision for a vibrant, cohesive future.
Project Scope & Objectives
The selected consultant will evaluate the existing code to identify strengths, weaknesses, and potential hindrances to efficient development. Key objectives include:
