National Leadership Opportunities
Supporting Member Pathways to National Leadership
In odd-numbered years, the national consolidated election gives members the opportunity to elect volunteer leaders who help guide the direction of APA through service on the Board of Directors and AICP Commission. National leaders play an important role in advancing strategic priorities, representing the diverse interests of members, and helping ensure the Association remains responsive, forward-looking, and member-driven.
Service at the national level is an opportunity to:
- Set strategic direction for the organization
- Provide oversight and help steward resources responsibly
- Contribute expertise, leadership, and diverse perspectives
- Support professional standards and certification programs
- Serve as ambassadors
