Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Regional Planning or a Planning related field and four years of progressively responsible experience in planning and one or more of the following focus areas: technology, and how it can be utilized to enhance the County s planning and development review bandwidth, public access to information and citizen involvement/engagement; environmental and natural resource planning  issues; infrastructure, service and capital improvements planning  issues; development and real estate  issues; transportation and mobility issues, and/or; housing issues.

This is an advanced professional position in the Planning Division of the Department of Regulatory and Economic Resource directly involved in the development, amendment, implementation and monitoring of new and existing Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP) policies, zoning ordinances, planning/zoning studies and planning-related legislation at the local, state and federal levels, with a focus and subject matter expertise of focus areas, including but not limited to: neighborhood and community enhancement issues; technology; environmental and natural resource planning  issues; infrastructure, service and capital improvements planning  issues; development and real estate  issues; transportation and mobility issues, and/or; housing issues.  The position serves as the liaison with the other divisions of RER, County agencies, and external stakeholders regarding one or more of the previous noted focus areas.
