The Johnson County (IN) Department of Planning and Zoning invites applications for the position of our Staff Planner. This role offers a unique opportunity to directly influence land use and development within a dynamic, unincorporated area of approximately 250 square miles, home to 50,000 residents, situated just south of the Indianapolis metropolitan region. The job title is set up for either an Associate Planner or Senior Planner, pending qualifications.

Our comprehensive department manages all aspects of planning, zoning, permitting, inspection, site development, and code enforcement.

The Staff Planner will be instrumental in:

• Overseeing the department's current planning functions.
• Managing plan review, property subdivision, and zoning enforcement processes.
