The City of Fremont, Nebraska is seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in urban planning, community and regional planning, to fill a full-time Director of Planning position. This position will direct the community planning and development functions for the community. General duties will include developing and executing planning and zoning functions, working with developers and various community stakeholders, recommending related policies to the Mayor and City Council, administering the City's redevelopment program.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the planning function in a growing and evolving community.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in city/regional planning, landscape architecture, public administration, urban studies, or other related field.
  • Master's degree in one of these fields preferred.
• Six years of increasingly responsible professional experience in municipal planning with a minimum of three years supervisory experience in a planning role.
