The City of Temple City is seeking an Assistant Planner to perform a variety of professional duties in support of the City's current and advance planning functions. This position will assist in processing planning applications in accordance with the City's Zoning Code, evaluate proposed development projects, and prepare and present staff reports and recommendations. The Assistant Planner will also provide information and assistance to applicants, developers, consultants, the public, and outside agencies regarding City policies, codes, and procedures related to planning matters.
Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a major in planning, architecture, geography, or a related field. At least one year of professional planning experience is desirable.
Other Qualifications:
Possession of a valid Class C motor vehicle operator's license issued by the State of California.
