The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the Dallas-Fort Worth region, which is the fourth largest metropolitan area in the United States.

The Transportation Department of the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is seeking a Transportation Planner to support the development of the regional Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP). This position will support data visualization and Geographic Information System (GIS) tools as well as thrive as a "translator," connecting technical analysis to policy decisions, public communication, and community understanding. The planning area for transportation includes the 12 counties of Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant, and Wise.
