P-30946 Planner IV: Zoning Administration and Enforcement Division (ZAED)

The Planner IV is a mid‐level position within the Planning Department. The Planner IV researches and prepares technical reports relative to fact‐finding analysis, conclusions and recommendations involving various aspects of the development review process. Presents to County Boards & Commissions including but not limited to the Board of Variances and Appeals, Maui Planning Commission, Molokai Planning Commission, Lanai Planning Commission, Maui County Council and other related groups. Prepares reports and recommendations for processing of land use applications and or Department approvals.

Reviews requests for administrative approvals and use determinations and reaches sound conclusions using research of available data including but not limited to the Countywide Policy Plan, Maui Island Plan, Community Plans, Maui County Code, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Administrative Rules, etc.
