JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Transportation Planner will lead and advance transportation planning initiatives across Coös, Grafton, and northern Carroll Counties. This position serves as the Council's primary transportation planning professional and is responsible for managing the regional transportation planning program, developing transportation projects, overseeing transportation data collection and analysis, and providing technical assistance to local communities.

The Senior Transportation Planner will work closely with municipalities, NHDOT, regional partners, and community stakeholders to identify transportation needs, develop solutions, pursue funding opportunities, and implement projects that improve mobility, safety, accessibility, economic vitality, and community resilience throughout Northern New Hampshire.

This full-time role involves developing and implementing transportation-focused planning projects, conducting research and analysis, engaging with the public, and assisting local officials in understanding how transportation systems interact with land use plans and local regulations.
