JOB DESCRIPTION

Job tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Leading and managing comprehensive planning projects from initiation to adoption
• Prepare and update zoning codes, subdivision regulations, and development standards
• Conduct zoning and development plan reviews and prepare reports
• Facilitate public meetings, workshops, stakeholder Interviews, and community engagement activities

Job requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Community Planning, Public Administration, Geography, or a closely related field
• Five plus years of experience in planning
• Must have extensive knowledge in Canva and InDesign
• Strong knowledge of planning principles, zoning administration, economic development, and community engagement practices
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of responsibilities
• Brings a positive attitude and a strong desire to contribute to team success
