Transportation Planner (Assistant, Associate, or Senior Level)
Chelan-Douglas Transportation Council (CDTC) – Wenatchee, Washington

The Chelan-Douglas Transportation Council (CDTC) is seeking a collaborative, analytical, and motivated transportation planning professional to join our small regional planning team. This position offers the opportunity to help shape transportation priorities, investments, and mobility throughout the Wenatchee Valley and the communities of Chelan and Douglas counties.

CDTC is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the greater Wenatchee region. Located along the Columbia River and at the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, the area offers an exceptional quality of life, four-season recreation, and easy access to Seattle and Spokane.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and/or lead transportation studies and updates to the Regional Transportation Plan.
• Develop and maintain the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and assist with project funding oversight.
• Analyze demographic, transportation, safety, and financial data.
• Maintain transportation revenue forecasts and support travel demand modeling efforts.
• Create maps, graphics, infographics, and reports to communicate technical information.
• Manage traffic count programs and transportation data collection.
• Provide planning and grant support to local member agencies.
• Collaborate with local governments, transit agencies, WSDOT, consultants, and community partners.

Desired Qualifications

• Degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience with GIS (preferably ESRI platforms), spreadsheets, databases, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences.
• Experience with transportation planning, data analysis, visualization tools, and collaborative project work.

Salary & Benefits
Salary depends on qualifications and placement level:

• Assistant Transportation Planner: $77,100–$92,520
• Associate Transportation Planner: $88,665–$106,398
• Senior Transportation Planner: $101,965–$122,358
