Lead the Future of Transportation in One of America's Fastest-Growing Regions

The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is seeking an accomplished, visionary executive to lead one of the nation's most innovative regional transportation organizations. Serving nearly 500,000 residents throughout Reno, Sparks, and Washoe County, RTC is nationally recognized for delivering exceptional public transportation, regional planning, and engineering solutions that improve quality of life and support economic growth.

The next Executive Director will build upon RTC's impressive reputation while advancing critical priorities including implementation of the 2050 Regional Transportation Plan, securing funding for major transportation improvements, and leading the agency through the relocation of its headquarters.

We are seeking a collaborative leader who understands the complexities of regional transportation, infrastructure funding, legislative relationships, and organizational leadership. The successful candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, political acumen, financial expertise, and a genuine commitment to developing employees while fostering innovation and partnership.
