JOB DESCRIPTION

The position will be responsible for participating in planning, coordinating, implementing, and promoting all aspects of the planning department. Also leads and oversees the more complex assigned programs, projects, and/or initiatives; ensures program compliance with pertinent federal, state, local, and community-driven priorities, mandates, objectives, laws, guidelines, and regulations; directs, coordinates, and monitors the work of assigned staff; and performs a variety of advanced level technical, administrative, and programmatic work in support of assigned programs including serving as a liaison to, coordinating with, and providing administrative support and staff assistance to City and County staff, boards, committees, commissions and outside agencies. This position requires a high level of proficiency in data collection and analysis, technical writing, program administration, and public speaking.
