Solar Energy

The town's development regulations include a section on solar collectors. Solar collectors are encouraged where feasible. Roof-mounted systems visible from the public ROW are limited in height to 12" above the peak of the roof plane and 36" above the point of installation on the roof; systems on the rear sides of roofs may extend up to 4' above the point of installation. Ground-mounted systems are limited to 8' in height and must be located in rear or side yards and screened as feasible (App. A, Sec. 10.08).
