Solar Energy

The city's comprehensive plan provides several policies to support renewable energy, including solar, as an approach to reducing reliance on nonrenewable energy. In the Mobility and Infrastructure Element, it calls for policies to evaluate and amend codes and ordinances to encourange renewable energy system installations, including solar, in all development (Energy Policy 16.6), and to install alternative energy infrastructure, such as solar panels, within all city facilities where feasible (Energy Policy 16.7).
