Community Visioning
This joint town-county comprehensive plan's framework, described in the plan's executive summary, is based upon a three-part vision founded on three common values of community character: ecosystem stewardship, growth management, and quality of life.
Solar Energy
The Ecosystem Stewardship element of the town and county's comprehensive plan includes a broad goal to reduce consumption of nonrenewable energy (Principle 2.1) and specific policies encouraging increasing local consumption and generation of solar energy and other renewables through utility-scale solar development (Policy 2.1.c) and through onsite generation (Policy 2.1.d).
