Solar Energy

The Natural Resources and Environment chapter of the city's comprehensive plan includes a goal to conserve energy resources, with multiple policy recommendations that could promote or facilitate solar energy use (ENRE-16).

Policy recommendations encourage solar orientation, expanding financing for renewable energy development, encouraging new development to include solar energy systems, exploring community choice aggregation, and developing local energy ordinances that would, among other items, protect solar access.
