According to the county's land use and development code, attached solar panels are permitted in all districts, while detached systems greater than 8 SF in area are conditional uses (Sec. 9-3-1). The code provides conditional use site and development standards for detached solar panels greater than 8 SF in area addressing setbacks, glare, height, and impacts to neighbors (Sec. 9-5G-1.A).
