Solar Energy

The township's zoning ordinance allows alternative energy systems, including solar energy systems, as accessory solar in all zoning districts, subject to standards. Roof-mounted systems are exempt from height limitations, and equipment may project into required yards by 50% of the required yard dimension; ground-mounted systems are not included in computing lot coverage (Sec. 131-70.G). The ordinance defines "solar energy system" (Sec. 131-7).
