Solar Energy

The Agricultural Resources element of this plan recommends updating zoning ordinances to permit solar energy systems in agricultural areas (Strategy VII: 23). Plan appendices also include a state of the region working paper on the topic of Energy and Sustainability with information about the existing solar market and recommendations to use solar energy as a solution for high energy demands in the summer with placement discussed in brownfields and industrial areas (Energy and Sustainability Working Paper, pp. 3-5).
